for SATB and optional organ This anthem was commissioned for the Enthronement of the 105th Archbishop of Canterbury, the Most Reverend and Right Honourable Justin Welby, and was first performed during the Enthronement ceremony at Canterbury Cathedral in March 2013. It sets a text from The Rule of St Benedict, translated by Michael Berkeley, counselling the recipient to 'receive willingly and carry out effectively your loving Father's advice'. The vocal lines are simple, flowing, and eminently singable, with alternating sections of unaccompanied chant and joyous outbursts from the full choir. The supportive organ part may be omitted if preferred.
for SSAA with piano accompaniment and unaccompanied Following the success of the mixed-voice edition of Furusato, Bob Chilcott has adapted his arrangements of five evocative Japanese songs for upper voices. Each poem depicts the beauty of the Japanese landscape, and familiar melodies combine with Chilcott's original style to create an enchanting fusion of East and West. Suitable for performance as a suite or as stand-alone pieces, these charming and emotive songs will be a welcome addition to the repertoire of any upper-voice choir.

Winner of the NOBEL PRIZE in Literature 2016 For the first time, a comprehensive, definitive collection of lyrics of music legend and poet Bob Dylan. A major publishing event - a beautiful, comprehensive collection of the lyrics of Bob Dylan with artwork from thirty-three albums. As it was well put by Al Kooper (the man behind the organ on 'Like a Rolling Stone'), 'Bob is the equivalent of William Shakespeare. What Shakespeare did in his time, Bob does in his time.' Christopher Ricks, editor of T. S. Eliot, Samuel Beckett, Tennyson, and The Oxford Book of English Verse, has no argument with Mr. Kooper's assessment, and Dylan is attended to accordingly in this authoritative edition of his lyrics. In the words of Christopher Ricks: 'For fifty years, all the world has delighted in Bob Dylan's books of words and more than words: provocative, mysterious, touching, baffling, not-to-be-pinned-down, intriguing, and a reminder that genius is free to do as it chooses. And, again and again, these are not the words that he sings on the initially released albums.' This edition changes things, giving us the words from officially released studio and live recordings, as well as selected variant lyrics and revisions to these, recent revisions and retrospective ones; and, from the archives, words that, till now, have not been published. As set down, as sung, and as sung again.
for SATB (with divisions and Soprano solo) unaccompanied This gentle and expressive carol provides a wonderful alternative to more familiar settings of this well-loved text. The music is harmonically rich, and the floating soprano line adds another dimension to the texture. Suitable for a wide range of choirs at Christmas.
Suitable for SATB and piano or organ, or orchestra, this carol gives a fresh twist to the words of the traditional English carol The first Nowell.
for SSA and piano This jubilant and uplifting carol is sure to become a Christmas classic. The memorable melodies have a fittingly dance-like quality, and the bell-like piano part adds festive sparkle, while providing a resolute rhythmic grounding. Coupling the familiar Christmas words with lesser-known verses of the traditional carol depicting Jesus in the wilderness and the Resurrection and Ascension of Christ, this piece is suitable for concerts and services throughout the year.
for SATB and piano or small orchestra Full score for John Rutter's lively and joyful arrangement of this popular Christmas-themed African-American spiritual.
for SATB and piano or orchestra Dances of Time is a diverse collection of five choral songs addressing different aspects of time. Texts ranging from biblical to twentieth century are set to Chilcott's attractive and characterful music, drawing on elements of dance forms in various styles. The work opens with a rhythmic setting of Henry VIII's famous text 'Pastime with good company', before the contrastingly wistful and reflective 'Today'. The carpe diem sentiment of 'Gather ye rosebuds' is heightened through its setting as a lively jig, and in 'To every thing there is a season' a central section presents the paired images of the text from Ecclesiastes, enclosed by almost hymn-like outer segments. The infectiously positive 'Life has loveliness' sums up the overall message of the collection: despite the passing of time, we can celebrate the present through music and singing.
