Bored with the runway and the glamorous L.A. life, Domino shows up for a bounty-hunter seminar. Catching the 'teachers' of the seminar as they try to cut and run with the proceeds, she manages to win their respect and joins their team. This consists of Ed Mosbey (Mickey Rourke), the tough-as-nails leader and Domino's surrogate father, and Choco (Edgar Ramirez), an impulsive Venezuelan who harbors a not-so-secret love for Domino. The three form a kind of family, working under Claremont Williams (Delroy Lindo), who 'plays Charlie to their three angels'. For a time they are unstoppable, even agreeing to let the slimy Mark Heiss (Christopher Walken) produce a reality-TV show about them, which is hilariously hosted by Ian Ziering and Brian Austin Green. But when Claremont orchestrates a complicated inside job in order to raise the money for his granddaughter's doctor bills, the precarious balance within the trio is disturbed.

Having had a taste of Antarctic adventure on Captain Scott's failed 1901 bid to reach the South Pole, seven years later Ernest Shackleton leads his own expedition. Agonisingly close to reaching the Pole, the men have to pull back in an appalling blizzard to reach their ship before the advancing ice cuts off the passage home. Undeterred, in 1914 Shackleton and his trusted deputy Frank Wild set out their most famous journey aboard Endurance, with the aim of crossing the icy continent from sea to sea. When the ship is trapped and crushed by pack-ice, Shackleton and five of his men embark on a desperate 800-mile journey from Elephant Island to South Georgia in the James Caird, a 20-foot lifeboat pitched against the furious Southern Ocean. Once they hit land, the fastest way to reach help on the other side of the island will be to improvise a route across the treacherous mountain interior.
With Wild and the rest of the men left behind with dwindling supplies at their makeshift camp, the survival of them all hinges on this last desperate gamble.

In 1950, most Americans had only a passing familiarity with the game of football, even though it was the world's most popular sport, and few athletes in the United States played the game with any particular degree of expertise.
However, when an invitation was extended to the United States to participate in the World Cup tournament in Brazil -- the international soccer championship held every four years -- Bill Jeffrey was determined that America participate.
In less than two weeks, Jeffrey assembled a team comprised mostly of players from St. Louis (where soccer had developed a small but loyal following) and the East Coast (where the game gained a foothold on college campuses), with immigrants from Haiti, Portugal, and Scotland filling out the ranks.
As players from across the globe congregated for the World Cup, one team rose from obscurity to claim the biggest upset in World Cup history. This team of underdog athletes would go on to play in front of millions of enthralled football fans, who cheered them on to glory.
