Loot Marketplace Business Development Specialist

Category Manager: Health

Loot.co.za is a leading South African Online Retailer. We are looking for a talented and highly motivated category manager to join our team in Cape Town. You will be responsible for growth and management of the Health category. Are you up for the challenge and ready to make a significant contribution to our continued success?

What would you do:
Work as part of Loot.co.za’s Category Team and take commercial responsibility for the Health category including turnover, sourcing, stock management, merchandising and margin management

You’ll be able to:
• Think strategically and take initiative
• Work independently as well as with a dynamic and growing category team
• Manage specific product ranges, blending in-stock strategies with JIT ranges
• Sign new distributors, build supplier networks, negotiate terms and cut great deals
• Hit turnover targets and optimise margin
• Get your head around new systems, processes and methodologies
• Efficiently handle customer queries and take a customer-centric approach when required

You’ll need:
• A passion for Healthcare
• To have your finger on the pulse of local and international trends
• A minimum of 3-5 years category management or buying experience
• Extensive relevant product knowledge
• Attention to detail
• In-depth knowledge of buying, planning and the logistics processes
• Proven analytical, communication and negotiation skills
• To know your way around an Office Suite, effectively use email and be at home on the internet
• A relevant degree / diploma in Business, Pharmacy or Nursing

We’ll love you if:
• You have experience in online retail
• You have buying experience in health products such as health foods, front-shop health or pharmaceuticals
• You have experience in private label management
• You have sales or KAM experience in either the Health Sectors

Loot Marketplace Business Development Specialist

Loot.co.za, one of South Africa’s leading Online Retail companies, is looking for a highly motivated, driven Business Development Specialist to join our team in Cape Town. You will be tasked with the successful growth and development of Loot’s newly launched Marketplace platform. Are you up to the challenge and ready to help push Loot’s Marketplace to the number one spot as the country’s most successful third-party seller platform?

What you would do:

Work closely with the Loot Marketplace Team to find and approach proven and successful retailers, to sell highly desirable brands and products that fill availability gaps in our product offering, ensuring Loot.co.za becomes the first choice for online customers to find anything and everything that they are looking for. You will be expected to manage and grow these seller accounts in order to reach their full potential, listing a full range of products, and creating as much exposure as possible in order to increase sales and generate maximum revenue.

You will be able to:

•Cold call companies, setting up meetings with the relevant decision makers, and have the confidence necessary to pitch and present convincingly.
•Work well within a team environment, bringing together interdepartmental cooperatives to achieve Marketplace business goals and objectives.
•Work independently to achieve your own set targets and objectives for the accounts you source and manage.
•Be innovative in overcoming obstacles and think strategically to in order to give both the sellers and customers a seamless, professional experience.
•Contribute effectively to the development and improvement of systems and processes within the existing business as they are adapted to a working Marketplace model.
•Be organised and well prepared on a daily basis.

You will need:
•A minimum of 3- 5 years experience within and e commerce environment
•A minimum of 3- 5 years experience in sales and /or account management.
•A diligent, self-motivated work ethic.
•Proven analytical, communication and negotiation skills.
•To know your way around Office Suite, and be able to use email effectively
•Relevant degree/ diploma
