The almyghtie God badde Moyses his captaine in ye land of iEgypt to commaunde ye people of Israeli to take for euery familye a lambe of one yeare old the night they departed out of ye countrey to The Eucharist; or, Sacrifice of the Lord's Supper. ye land ot promise, and to offer yl lambe to God, and after to kill it, and to make jr8 signe of yc crosse with ye labes bloud vpon the side postes and the vpper poste of their dore, and afterward to eate ye lambes flesh rosted, and vnleauened bread w wilde lettisse. God sayth vnto Moyses, Eat of ye labe nothing raw nor sodde in water but rosted w fire. Eate ye head, y"5 feete, and the inwardes, and let nothing of it be left vntill ye morning; if anything therof remaine, y shall you burne w fire. Eate it in this wyse. Gyrde your loynes, and do your shoes on your fete, haue you staues in your hades, and eat it in hast. This time is ye lordes passeouer. And ther was slain on y night in euery house throgh out Pharaos raigne, the first borne child; and God's people of Israeli were deliuered fro yl sodeine death through the labes offring, and his bloudes marking. The said God vnto Moyses, Keepe this day in your remembraunce, and holde it a greate feast in your kinredes with a perpetuall obseruation, and eate vnleauened bread alwayes seuen dayes at thys feaste....
