Lavell Maurice Crawford (born November 11, 1968) is an American stand-up comedian and actor from St. Louis, Missouri. His mother is Annita Crawford. His sisters are Elonda Goodwin and Erica Roach. His step-father is Dwight Davis. According to his Facebook page, his son LJ was born on November 18, 2010. As a child, Crawford suffered from numerous hardships, including a struggle with weight, a near drowning at age 10, and abandonment by his father. However, according his 2011 DVD of the October 23, 2010 "Can a Brother Get Some Love?" show at the Roberts Orpheum Theater in St. Louis, MO, he has reconnected with him. At that time, he mentioned that he and his wife are expecting their first child.
