Elementary Career Awareness Through Children's Literature is an excellent resource for integrating the 12 competencies from the National Career Development guidelines into K-8 language arts and social studies classes. These guidelines provide a strong starting point for identifying specific content within the areas of self-knowledge, educational and occupational exploration, and career planning.
