The Quit Slip," Fig. 27, really furnishes the data for this report. The data used in compiling the chart showing Annual Labor Turnover," Fig. 28, were obtained from the monthly labor turnover reports shown in Figs. 29 and 30. The statistics contained in this report are collected by means of departmental reports from the various departments listed in the earlier part of this chapter. Fig. 29 is a typical form used by E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company, Wilmington, Delaware, in one of their large plants, and presents at a single glance the monthly labor turnover of this plant by departments. The forms reproduced in Figs. 3 and 32 were used by the writer for keeping records of the turnover at Hog Island by departments, and for the entire plant. Summary blanks are given on the back of each form....
