Late September (DVD)

The third feature by British director Jon Sanders is an improvised study of the relationships and emotions shared amongst a group of people over a 24-hour period. The film follows middle class couple Ken (Richard Vanstone) and Gillian (Anna Mottram) as they prepare for Ken's 65th birthday at their picturesque cottage in Kent, and circle around the realisation that their relationship is in its death throes.
