I see the tops of the trees over the red crags. Yeo, lower the punt; I'm going ashore for a while. If the gentlemen wake up, see that they have breakfast and everything they want, but no one is to land; no one, Yeo, mind that. You can say that the boat is injured, and that I have taken the punt. Get me a cup of coffee, and I shall be ready to start. The coffee was soon brought, and after swallowing it, and making a wry face over it too, the owner of the "Miller of Dee," which was the very ugly name he had chosen for his yacht, swung himself over the side, and dropped into the little tub of a punt. In a few moments he was on shore. Yeo saw him draw the boat up high and dry, and scramble up the rough dark cliff. "Ah," said the sailor to himself, " I thought so--hard he finds it, and no wonder Champagne all evening, and brandy to finish, up to three o'clock in the morning, ain't by no means the way to have a good wind for a climb.
