The sinking vitality was my key note, corroborated by others. I gave Kali phos. cm. one dose. In three hours improvement, in six hours the odor disappeared; patient cleaned up and house ventilated; an hour more took generous nourishment, slept well during the night and had a good breakfast next morning and made a rapid recovery. This case might be called blood poisoning, but I did not make a mistake in diagnosis. I treated it by the totality of symptoms, and it is one of the accidents that occur when the remedy is properly used that is homeopathic to the totality of the symptoms in the case. Allow me to recommend a judicious consideration of the use of Kali Phos. in such emergencies before calling a surgeon. THE INDUCTION 0F ABORTION. IS IT JUSTIFIABLE, AND IF S0, WHEN. BY H. H.
