Sole by the Sea is a collection of poems, paintings and photographs by two Scarborough artists inspired by the sea and the fresh Yorkshire air. The poems are mostly about Scarborough and range from personal reflections to humorous stories, while the paintings are all of Scarborough and other nearby coastal towns. This collection was put together to celebrate the 80th birthday of the illustrator, who started painting in her seventies after a stroke. The poems were written by her proud granddaughter.
