Io Sono Augustus - I am Augustus (Hardcover)

Io Sono Augustus: I Am Augustus was conceived initially as a solution to the age-old problem of explaining events to the children when inquiries were made about the family history. Hence, the chronological layout is included in the book. It then became an exhilarating expression of not only citing personal history but an effective means of the author telling his children how he felt about certain things. Interestingly, he became a "passenger" on the vehicle he had invented and he enjoyed the ride immensely This written accomplishment is a gift to his wife, Ann, and all of his precious children. May the answers to all of their questions be found within its pages.

Augustus Louis Petti was born on a ship sailing from his native Italy to the United States. He was named Augustus after the ship. He was mistaken for the Lindbergh baby. What else could happen to this man? Nothing spectacular happened, mind you, but, enough to make you sit up and wonder. His life was ordinary, and yet, it became quite extraordinary. Adding up all the bits of his life projected an image of greater proportion than expected. He is grateful to his Lord for a life of happiness and contentment. Amen.
