Kingston upon Hull West and Hessle (usually just Hull West and Hessle) is a constituency represented in the House of Commons of the Parliament of the United Kingdom. It elects one Member of Parliament (MP) by the first past the post system of election. The constituency was created in 1997, mostly from the former seat of Hull West with Hessle coming from the former seat of Boothferry. It is made up of six wards of Hull City Council: Boothferry; Derringham; Myton; Newington; Pickering; and St Andrew's, together with Hessle ward from East Riding of Yorkshire Council.
