Federalism and Regionalism in Europe - Optimizing Multi-level Governance in the EU (Paperback)

The Bertelsmann Stiftung, the Compagnia di San Paolo, and the Centro Studi Sul Federalismo launched a joint German-Italian project to assess the "EU fitness" of eight member states (Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Poland, Spain, and the UK). This book presents the results of these country assessments and delivers strategic recommendations on how to reform intergovernmental relations in Germany and Italy under the pressure of ongoing Europeanization.
