There is no two-shilling work spun in this parish, nor has any person constant employ in spinning hemp, &c. when they do lpin it for the shoemakers, they earn 6d. per day; whilst a good spinner can earn only 2 d. per day, or Is. 3d. per week; a very good spinner 3d. per day, or Is. 6d. per week; who used to earn a few years back, the former, is. 6d. a week, and the latter, 3s.
