Under this head there has been no change since last year. Sullage from family Lines and their surroundings; quarters percolates into ground in front of men's houses. It is present condition, hygienic and very doubtful if this is a hygienic measure, as the trees are otherwise. not sufficient to absorb the liquid refuse; practically the result is a continual moist soil, favouring the generation and evolution of miasm. Conservancy. 3. Satisfactory. No alteration since last year. Water supply. 4. Abundant and excellent. Food and clothing. 5. See report for 1877. Duties, &c. 6. See report for 1877. Hospital, &c. 7.
