'Long live Saphira, Queen of Thelmia ' shouted Minim. 'At these words a crowd of queer little men seemed to come through the ground. 'See see Here come the Kobolds, our old friends, to prepare the marriage feast of their favourite Prince Pertinax.' C Concluded THE FRIENDSHIP OF BOOKS. BY ANOTHER READER. A very interesting paper on this subject has already appeared in The Monthly Packet. It has probably aroused in the minds of many of its readers half slumbering affectionate remembrances, which they are not sorry to dwell upon, even if they do not record them. The inexhaustible nature of the subject, the very different aspects with which our own peculiarities, whether of character or circumstance, invest it;--the desire we feel to compare notes upon our early favourites--all lead me Sec The Monthly Packet, part U7, page 30G. to hope that a supplementary paper, recording a few experiences about'the friendship of books, ' will not wear too much the aspect of encroaching on ground already appropriated.
