What the Continent produced has thus to a great extent been already disposed of, and the remainder may be dealt with in a comparatively brief summary. It should be premised that of Hungary, during this period, the literature is non-existent; that of Bohemia the literature is insignificant; and that of Eussia, such literature as there is, is so far cut off from that of the non-Mongolian nations, though undoubtedly susceptible of their influence, as to fall outside the scope of this series.
