Relative to many attempts which have been made to define the term "practice of medicine," we quote the New York enactment, which says that a practician of medicine is one "who holds himself out as being able to diagnose, treat, operate or prescribe for any human disease, pain, injury, deformity or physical condition." Dr. Illahi Baksh, a graduate of the Denver Homeopathic College in the class of 1898, is now living at Rasra, India. She, with her husband, are medical missionaries in the Ballia circuit of the Tirhoot district in India. It is about one hundred miles north of Benares. World-Wide Missions speaks in praise of the great good the doctor, is doing, both as a physician in healing the body and as a missionary of the gospel to that people. The Homeopathic Society Of The State Of New York will hold its next semi-annual meeting in Brooklyn, September 24, 25 and 26, 1907. The first meeting of the Homeopathic Society of the County of Kings was held in the last days of September, 1857, and the two societies meet in joint session at this time to celebrate the semi-centennial of the latter organization. The occasion is one of great interest to the profession. On the evening of the 25th a public meeting will be held and addresses made by leading members of the profession and well known laymen will speak. The celebration will close with a banquet to visiting physicians and their wives, given by the Kings County Society. A cordial greeting awaits all who attend.
