Meantime as members be consistent yourselves, buy all that you require of food and clothing at yonr own shops, never cry down the quality of your own goods but should anything go wrong apply to the proper quarter (the committee) for redress. Allow your profits to accumulate to be used in co-operative enterprise which will raise for you more profits, a course of action necessary to all who would secure the whole benefits which the movement is fit to confer. Attend to your quarterly and other meetings, take an intelligent action in your business, see that those entrusted with the management of your affairs are active, honest, and intelligent, and capable of conducting your business in a proper manner, as on you depends the future success of the society, in you lies the power to propagate, to promulgate, to consolidate, and it is only by your joint, active, intelligent co-operation that we can hope to take our place in that great movement that is swelling onward, to the upraising of the mass of the people to that prond position of self-dependence which will be attained by individual and collective exertion."
