Excerpt: Boxing at the 1992 Summer Olympics took place in the old Pavello Club Joventut de Badalona in Barcelona. The boxing schedule began on July 26 and ended on August 9. With this reduction in numbers (108 fewer than in Seoul), the AIBA aimed to raise the quality of the boxing competition at the Barcelona Games. The introduction of computerised scoring, replacing the traditional cards, was one of the novelties after Seoul.
