Excerpt: The 2010 Individual Long Track World Championship will be the 2010 version of FIM Individual Long Track World Championship season. Champion will be determined in six finals between 30 May and 18 September 2010. The defending Champion is Gerd Riss from Germany. For each separate Final Meeting, the organising federation is permitted to nominate one wild card rider and two track reserve riders. When a rider retires for the whole of the following years Final Meetings, he will be replaced for all of the Final Meetings by the next rider from the Long Track World Championship list of qualified substitutes. The riders starting position draw will be balloted before each Final Meeting by the CCP.
