The school is located in the town of Beaver Dam, which is in the state of Arizona in the United States. Beaver Dam Elementary School maintains a population of nearly 270. After years of talk and planning at Governing Board Meetings throughout the years, former Arizona Governor Fife Symington arrived at the old Littlefield School campus in April 1996 to deliver a check for $3 Million to the students and patrons of the Littlefield School District. This money was to be used for the building of a new school across the way in Beaver Dam. The school first opened its doors for the 1999-2000 school year. The Governing Board members at the time were Tom Stoddard, LaRene Layton, Ron Petersen, Rena Moerman and Cheryl Graham. The Superintendent was Dr. John P. Broberg, whom was offered another job at a Washington County School District school (in Utah) shortly before the end of the 1998-1999 fiscal year. The School Board, with Dr. Broberg's help, hired Dr. Jose L. Trujillo from the Tooele County School District in Utah. At the time of the Open House in August 1999, the school was housing Kindergarten through Eighth grade. After nearly two years, more students were enrolling and space was getting tight again Plans were out on the table to expand the growing school.
