Excerpt: Miroslav Benka (Serbian Cyrillic: ) (born April 22, 1956) is a Serbian screenwriter, actor, director and a designer. He was born in Aanja in Vojvodina (ex Yugoslavia) in a Slovak family. He graduated from the College of Applied Arts in design and from the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad, Acting Department. He also graduated from the Faculty of Drama Arts in Belgrade, Directing Department. Benka was guest professor at the Faculty of Drama Arts in Bratislava, as well as a Director and Artistic Director of the City Drama Theatre in Zilina, Slovak Republic and Managing director and Artistic director of National Theatre Sterija in Vrsac and Managing director and Artistic director of Vrsac Autumn Theatre Festival, Yugoslavia. Benka directed as many as 60 theatrical performances classical and contemporary playwrights. He directed documentaries films and advertisements, TV shows, music clips, radio dramas and multimedia ambience projects (Lux in Tenebris made in one of the most beautiful Castles Bojnice).
