Resolved, That after said building is completed and clear of debt, the revenue derived from rents and otherwise shall be placed in the Beneficiary Fund for the payment of death claims. Resolved, That the Board of Management or Building Committee shall consist of the Grand Master, Vice Grand Master, Grand Secretary and Treasurer and Grand Executive Board. Resolved, That the Board of Management shall give such bonds for the faithful discharge of their duties as may be considered necessary by the Grand Lodge now assembled. Respectfully submitted, Eugene A. Ball, ") Ed. J. Kelley, Committee. Thos. Mcguire, J This report was then, by order of Convention, referred to a two-thirds vote of subordinate lodges with the following result: Number of lodges voting to approve 143 Number of lodges voting to reject 155 Number of lodges not voting 167 It will be observed that this vote did not express the sentiment of the majority of the membership. This vote should have been taken according to membership of lodges. Had this been done I am of the opinion the result would have been much different. Again it will be observed that a large number of lodges did not vote. I come before your honorable body this year more sanguine than ever before that the Brotherhood of Locomotive Firemen should commence the erection of a building. Our prominence in the labor world, our prosperity of the last two years, the excellent outlook for the future should, in my judgment, cause every member of the order to feel that we can, as an organization, take one more step in advance of our associate labor organizations and out of our means erect and dedicate a temple to organized labor, and in the name of the Brother...
