The limestone production of South Carolina was valued at $44,780 in 1903, as compared with $37,850 in 1902. TENNESSEE. The limestone production of Tennessee increased in value from $482,033 in 1902 to $555,574 in 1903, a gain of $73,541. The value of lime decreased, while the value for the other products increased. TEXAS. Limestone valued at $262,053 was quarried in Texas in 1903 as compared with a production of $228,662 in 1902, an increase of $33,391. The increase was in building stone, crushed stone, and riprap. UTAH. A large Increase in the quantity of lime burned in Utah in 1903 brought the value of the production from $186,663 in 1902 up to 618,900 in 1903. VERMONT. The value of limestone quarried in Vermont decreased in 1903 to $190,724, as compared with $225,703 in 1902. The decrease was in the value of lime, brought about by labor troubles at the market. VIBGINIA. Limestone valued at $569,205 was quarried in Virginia in 1903, an increase of $35,092 over the 1902 production. This increase was in the value of lime; furnace flux and building stone decreased in value. WASHINGTON. There was an inciease of $83,887 in the value of the limestone production in Washington from $213,814 in 1902 to $297,701 in 1903. The increase was in the value of lime and furnace flux. WEST VIRGINIA.. The value of the limestone reported from West Virginia decreased $58,342 from $616,366 in 1902 to $558,024 in 1903. 0 WISCONSIN. The value of the limestone quarried in Wisconsin in 1903 decreased slightly to $1,256,661 from $1,351,058 in 1902. The decrease was chiefly in the value of building stone. WYOMING.
