It started up very easily with printing both from my laptop and phone which was WONDERFUL

This range is of long standing and as such has a proven track record. It is a total communications hub and installs easily. A word of caution; if you have a slow internet connection do the setup from the supplied CD and not the computer direct connection to ij.canon. That internet connection kept stalling for me before the downloads were finish which meant I wasted time and used much extra bandwidth.
