Many of our older TV viewers will remember the "Carol Burnett Show", for which she recently won a Screen Actor's Guild Lifetime Achievement Award, with great affection. Aired in the 1960's and 1970's, it remains a gold-standard against which modern comedy can be judged. This book presents Carol's reminiscences of the hilarious goings-on during the 11-year, 276-episode run of this extraordinary series. It also reminds one that a number of DVDs of the show are readily obtainable and still provide laughs at every turn. "Went with the Wind" (with Harvey Korman), "The Dentist" (with Tim Conway and Harvey), and "The Siamese Elephants (with Tim and **** van Dyke) are probably three of the funniest sequences ever recorded. Highly recommended, and get the DVDs!
