Excerpt: ... abundance of spices as the queen of Sheba gave unto king Solomon. 11 And moreover the fleet of Hiram, which carried gold from Ophir, brought from Ophir sandal-wood in great abundance, 12 and precious stones. And the king made of the sandalwood, brackets for the house of Jehovah, and for the king's house, and harps and lutes for the singers; there never came so much sandal-wood, nor was so much ever seen, unto 13 this day. And king Solomon gave unto the queen of Sheba all her desire, whatsoever she asked, beside that which was given unto her of king Solomon's royal bounty. And she turned her face and went to her own land, she and her servants. 14 And the weight of the gold which came to Solomon in one 15 year, was six hundred and sixty six talents of gold; beside that which was obtained from the traders, and from the traffic of the merchants, and from all the allied kings, and from the prefects of the land. 16 And king Solomon made two hundred shields of beaten 17 gold; six hundred shekels of gold went to each shield: and three hundred bucklers of beaten gold; three pounds of gold went to each buckler: and the king placed them in the house of the Forest of Lebanon. is And the king made a great throne of ivory, and overlaid 19 it with refined gold.
