This the first part of the second volume of a three-volume edition of the early writings of Charlotte Bronte. The edition has been based as far as possible on the original manuscripts of the works. The works in this volume include short love stories, historical tales, lyrics, fictitious legal documents, and imaginary newspaper articles. There is a brief textual introduction, followed by a more substantial one on the literary qualities of the writings. The book also contains textual notes. This book is only available as part of a multi-volume set.
