This books was written as a precise reference guide to the care of the patient in the imaging and radiotherapy departments. It aims to provide essential information which may be of use, not only to the student radiographers and radiographers, but also to X-ray and radiotherapy nurses and other paramedical staff having contact with patients. At the beginning of each chapter, an introduction outlines the reason why the information which follows has been included. In this edition the information on inflammation and infection has been updated to include care of the patient with HIV infection.
