Retro living show in which three families swap modern living for the life of a coal-mining family in a South Wales coalfield of the 1920s. How will the modern families cope living in cottages without running water, heating, washing machines and, gasp, TV. They won't even have the relief of moaning at the men - they're all down the pit.
