Mineral Bioprocessing, II (Hardcover, Illustrated Ed)

This work represents the published proceedings of the Engineering Foundation Conference - Minerals Bioprocessing II, held in Snowbird, Utah, USA, July 10-15, 1995. Participants from 14 countries were in attendance for this update on the application of micro-organisms for mineral separation and processing. The 25 papers are organized into the following topics: design and kinetics of bio-oxidation operations; genetic studies of micro-organisms of interest in minerals bioprocessing; bioleaching; biosorption; fossil fuels and byproducts - bioconversion, processing and bioremediation; micro-organisms in mineral processing operations and remediation.
