Not illustrated. 1906 Excerpt: ...see Bayle iii. 3024-6. In the Dcvonter Letter-Book is a xviic. copy, corrected by (?) De la Faye, and perhaps made from the copy of the original communicated by De Wilhem to Bayle, since it mentions an emendation (desultorii for beguttarti, 1. 18) suggested, quite unnecessarily, by Bayle in printing the text. The original was bought for the British Museum at the Van Voorst sale; the Catalogue of which, Amsterdam, 1859, p. 163, shows that before the Van Voorst it belonged first to Joost Romswinckel and then to Jac. Koning. It is reproduced, as far as armauit in not (1. 22), and with the signature attached, in the third norie of British Museum Factimiles, 1897. For Erasmus' recent relations with Everard see Ep. 1469. The year-date is confirmed by the mention of Dorp's death and Luther's marriage. S. P., ornatissime Preses.
