A young Jewish Christian astronomer, rejected by his family, has a unique ufo abduction experience while working as a summer firefighter. He enters the world of astronomy to find that he has fallen in the midst of a group working to initiate contact with extraterrestrials, uniting modern astronomy with ancient shamanism. The strange and remote Dr. Bertrand Wolf, in charge of the project, seems to have a unique rapport with the aliens that no one else can manage.
