I do not live in the city of New York, but I have heard from others of the man there who is so kind to horses. 7. He will not let any one be cruel to a poor dumb beast. I would walk many miles to take a look at him. 8. But I am only a poor old cart-horse, and I do not suppose I shall ever go to the great city of New York. And if I should, I might not be able to find the kind gentleman. 9. If you know him, you must tell him for me how glad poor old Dobbin would be to thank him for all he has done for other horses.
