Not illustrated. 1815 Excerpt: ...i am bounde, as a true and natural servante of youre honour'sj and specially for beinge descended from youre house, as alsoefor the general utility of youre honour, and those of my nation, which are inclined to this honourable exercise; I have taken thepaines to write this volume entituled ' Military Discipline, ' in which is contayned the observationes and obligationes of eache one servinge in the infantery; beginnenge with a private souldier to a captaine general, &c. &c." " In the firste booke are contained the military instructiones necessary to be observed' in the nobleprofession of armes amongste the infantery, from a private souldior, till the election and office of a campe master of a regimente of infantery.
