Not illustrated. 1817 Excerpt: ...Deura celebran dum, will, that the farmers shall be bound to pay the amount of their rents also in our Church to the Receiver or his Deputy; the alienation or mortgage of any manor, land, rents, tenements, or any other immovable thing, we do altogether prohibit, for we wish our Church to fatten, not to waste away. Finally, Causes and Suits in Law for the defence, recovery, and conservation of the rights of the said Church, the Dean himself, nor any one of the Canons, shall not institute, or prosecute, lay aside, or relinquish, without the advice of the Chapter; all benefices, every Rectory, Vicarage, or other ecclesiastical benefit of that kind, belonging to the patronage, nomination, or presentation of our Church, shall be bestowed by the Dean, or, in his absence, the Vice Dean, with the consent of the Chapter.
