Elena Alexandra Apostoleanu (Romanian pronunciation: e?lena ale?ksandra aposto?le?anu]; born October 16, 1986 near Mangalia, Romania), known mononymously as Inna, is a Romanian singer-songwriter and dancer. Inna first released her debut studio album, Hot was an international success, charting in many record charts around the world, along with the huge success in the Western European side. The album's lead single which was the same name charted worldwide, and became a huge success, even charting at one in the United States. Both the song and album won the award for Best Dance and Best Album at the 2009/10 MTV Romania Music Awards. Inna's second studio album, I Am the Club Rocker, was described one of the best dance album's in Romanian history, while the production group Play & Win described it as their best produced album to date. Though not able to match the success as her previous, the singles charted successfully and managed to win many accolades worldwide, which won the "Romanian Album of the Year" award by her label Roton Music Romania. Her third studio album, Party Never Ends, which was released in March 2013, promoted moderately charted singles, however, which was unable to match her previous efforts. The songs, and album received positive reception however. Throughout her career, Inna has won numerous awards, winning two MTV Europe Music Awards and has achieved over thirteen awards in just three consecutive years at the MTV Romania Music Awards. NRJ Music Awards nominated Inna in 2011 for her international achievements, but lost respectively. To date, Inna has sold over 100,000 albums and over 600,000 singles in the United Kingdom alone. By the end of 2011 it was reported that Inna's fortune is estimated at around 8 million from which Inna accomplished 800,000 in 2011 solely, becoming the richest artist in Romania and in Eastern Europe. Inna was noted as one of Romanian's Biggest Exports in the music industry, and has been surpassed with many accolades.
