Decades ago, a child designed plans for a machine capable of destroying the universe while under the control of sinister forces. Over the years, he has tried to forget about the device and its blueprints. Yet they have returned to plague the nameless inventor once more, now with the frightening realization that he has the ability to actually complete the machine using his training after the possession. His journey into madness and darkness will bring him to the very edges of the universe and beyond as he tries in vain to preserve existence itself from the ravages of a machine built by the demons of his past. Fate will inexorably lead the weary inventor to the crystalline City of Light, a strange place outside our reality where only darkness prevails.
