Winter Soldier (DVD)

In 1971, one month after the notorious My Lai massacre, 100 Vietnam veterans gathered in a hotel conference room in Detroit to testify to the crimes and atrocities they had witnessed and committed during combat. Some 30 of the soldiers recount the process of destroying a village and describe the torture and massacre of its inhabitants. Although not covered in the news at the time, the meeting was recorded by an anonymous filmmaking collective, and now serves as a time capsule testifying to the stark horrors of war.
