She was born The Lady Davina Windsor at St. Mary's Hospital, Paddington, London. Lady Davina was educated at Kensington Preparatory School in Notting Hill, followed by St. George's School, Ascot in Ascot, Berkshire. She is a graduate of the University of the West of England with a degree in media studies. On 31 July 2004, Lady Davina married Gary Christie Lewis, a New Zealander, son of Larry Lewis and Viki Carr, formerly Lewis, plus nephew of noted author Witi Ihimaera. The wedding took place at the chapel of Kensington Palace, Lady Davina's childhood home. Her husband, Gary, was born on 25 August 1970, in Gisborne, New Zealand. He is the second of four children, with an older sister Donelle and two younger brothers, Ian and Hore. He is a carpenter, and surfing enthusiast, plus has a natural son, Ari Lewis (born 1992), from a previous relationship.
