If the fact that there has been no " retrograde movement" in " financial matters" indicates a " healthy condition," we agree with the Deputy; but as we believe it requires something more than a full treasury to make a Chapter " Masonically healthy," we must dissent. Pardon us for so doing. The officer in charge of the Seventh District, says: "I have not been called upon to make an official visit during the past year, and with great pleasure must say that I have not heard of any complaints or grievances in the Seventh District, containing twenty-one Chapters, but have every reason to believe that peace and harmony prevail. Of the twenty-one Chapters in the Seventh District eighteen have promptly reported election of officers." The Superintendent of the Eighth and Ninth Districts reported that so far as they had been "able to learn" the Chapters within their districts "were prosperous and healthy." The report on correspondence was presented by Comp. Robert L. McKinlay, wherein he presented a synopsis of the proceedings of thirty-seven Grand Chapters. The District of Columbia received a fraternal notice. Comp. McKinlay made but few comments, and with this report he retires from the Corps, to be succeeded by the "Old Vet." Comp. Gurney. We welcome Comp. Gurney backto his old position, feeling sure that it will afford him a better field for usefulness than the one occupied by him at this communication. Comp. John P.
