The mover of the resolution mentioned suitable sites for the establishment of a garden suburb for the benefit of the workers, and said that thousands of houses were not fit for dogs to live in. Another speaker said they would be met with the argument that there were many empty houses. But many of these were unfit to live in; some of those already inhabited ought to have been burnt down years ago. They wanted houses at reasonable rates and fit to live in, and they wanted to induce people to get into better surroundings. If they could get the people reasonable, decent, and healthy dwellings to live in, such as he had seen elsewhere, there would be a general improvement. Town Planning Tour. While it is expected that a great many foreigners will take part in the tour of English model communities, announced elsewhere, it is interesting to note that a Town, Planning tour of the Continent has been arranged for Easter. The tour will probably. include visits to Cologne, Dusseldorf, and. Frankfurt, and other German towns furnishing good examples, while, if possible, the famous village of Messrs. Krupp, at Essen, will be made a great feature. Hampstead. The latest development of the Hampstead Garden Suburb, filling in another of the features in Mrs....
