This is one of the best of the artist's recent landscapes. Next is a gtaceiul flower study--112. "Pelargonium." J. Bruce: Martin; and--113. "Ihe Cormorant's Home." W. F. Stocks. Two sunny fisher-children, bright-eyed and rosy-cheeked, have wandered out among the rocks, and are now stopped by the tide on their return homewards. Beyond them is a broad stretch of blue sea, broken at the horizon by the sails of the fishing boats, and above is a clear airy sky across which a single white cloud drives before the wind. This picture has a rare charm of atmosphere, and a delightfully fresh out-of-door feeling about it. 115. "Beatrice." Georgina M. Greenlees; 116. "The Duck Pond" A. D. Peppercorn; on top line--117. "In the Highlands." Gustave Dore; and lower down--119. "The Rush Gatherer." A. Melville; rough French peasant-woman at her work, painted with great breadth. Noticing--120. "Early Summer on the Sea." A. Perigal, R.S.A.; we come next to--121. "Holy Haven." W. L. Wyllie. Fishing smacks upon a sandbank, under a grey and silvery effect of evening light. The picturesque forms of the masts and sails of the boats are treated in an eminently artistic spirit. On the lower line is a delicate little picture by one of the new Associates--122. "Coming Home." Geo. Aikman, A.R.S.A.; geese straying on a mountain pathway; and next we have--123. "Creepers on a South Wall." E. M. Church; 124. "A Morning at Venice." G. Ciardi; 125. "Evening." Sir Coutts Lindsay; 126. "jfessica." W. S. Herri...
