Presents comprehensive data on the population of, receptions into and discharges from Prison Service establishments in 1992, with many tables covering the previous decade. Information is also given about restraints and inmates who are segregated from others, and information on the reconviction of inmates following discharge from custodial sentences has been reinstated in Chapter 9 following the reprogramming of the Home Office database which is the source of the data. These statistics are intended for use by the probation service, the police and social workers.
