It includes the first two in a series of complete facsimiles of the original printed libretti for works performed at Eszterhaza: "La Canterina" (1767), and a copy of "Le Pescatrici" (1770), reproduced here for the first time. Articles include an analysis of "La Canterina" in the "Joseph Haydn Werke" edition, and an account of the first performance of Le Pescatrici as part of the festivities organized by Prince Nicolaus Esterhazy to celebrate the marriage of his niece, Countess Lamberg, to Count Pocci.
