English summary: How were the laws in Tibet between the 18th and the 20th century, and partly outside of the central administrative seat of Lhasa, really instituted and how was southwestern Tibet governed at the local level? The present catalog opens up historical primary sources concerning the economic, social and legal history of the region and furthermore, enabled a view into the complex levels of activity that span the disciplinary fields of politics, cloisters and the agency of normal people of the fields and nomadic peoples. The systematic treatments and editing of the legal documents of the region on a greater scale adds an important building block to the existing body of work concerning Tibetan diplomatics. First, the Tibetan private sources are presented and made accessible in their whole breadth. The material encompasses other sources, among which are documents produced by the ruling class, basic orders and edicts, confirmation documents, legal decisions and manuscripts as well as petitions, declarations of surety, and sales contracts.
