Basic Optical Engineering for Electrical Engineers - PAL Format (VHS video casette)

Clint D. Harper is professor and head of the Department of Physics and Electro-optics at Moorpark College in Moorpark, CA. Many specializations within electrical engineering and related disciplines now deal with systems that contain optical elements, including imaging systems and lasers. Particularly in research and development, it is advantageous for the electrical engineer to have a basic understanding of the theory and operation of the optical portion of the system. This SPIE course gives an introduction to geometric optics and Gaussian beam theory, and includes practical applications and lecture demonstrations.
