Breaking and Entering (Paperback)

When Gi's husband dies she doesna'think life can get any worse. Or can it? When Gina loses her husband in a car accident, she has a hard time just getting out of bed. She blames her husband's death on God and refuses to acknowledge the relationship they once had. Years later, when she meets Pete, she feels like she's finally healing and will be able to live again. Things with Pete are going great, she has great friends, and her father is her biggest supporter-until one day she is kidnapped. When an old friend of Kate, Gina's best friend, comes to claim her as his wife and realizes Kate is pregnant, he sees a vision that Kate was leading him to Gina all along. He can see she has some Indian background and knows that she is the woman he is supposed to take as his wife. As Pete, Gina's father, and many other community members hunt endlessly for Gina, she realizes that God is the only person who can help her get back home and possibly save the lost soul who's kidnapped her. While Gina is able to empathize with Billy, her kidnapper, for Breaking and Entering, it's her soft heart and understanding that keep her alive so long. As her kidnapper prepares her to become his wife with ritualistic Indian traditions, she prays and prays to God that she will be saved for Pete. When Billy sees the faith that Gina has and her love for God, which enables her to forgive Billy for his selfish acts, he realizes he's been worshiping the wrong way the whole time. Asking for God's help, Gina and Billy pray together to save his lost soul.
